Research on α-synuclein PET imaging illuminates path to earlier diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease

In an article published in Genomic Psychiatry, researchers from Fudan University and Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine highlight remarkable advances in the development of positron emission tomography (PET) tracers capable of visualizing α-synuclein aggregates in the brains of patients with Parkinson’s disease and related disorders.
