Amritsar: In a shocking incident, two unidentified armed men reportedly robbed a doctor of Rs 45,000 near Khiala village on Thursday.The victim, identified as Dr. Rajinder Kumar, a private hospital owner from Kohali village, recounted the harrowing experience to the police.  Also Read: Haryana Doctor robbed of Rs 15 lakh cash, jewellery by masked men at gunpointAccording to the Tribune India, the Victim Rajinder Kumar, told the police that he runs a private hospital at Kohali village, falling under the Lopoke police station here. He said yesterday he was going to the hospital in his car, and when he reached Ram Tirath, an Alto car hit the side of his car and fled the scene. He said he chased the car and intercepted it near the Khiala village bus stop.However, the situation quickly escalated when two occupants of the car emerged, brandishing a pistol. Fearing for his safety, the doctor decided to flee the scene in his car. The assailants reportedly pursued him and eventually stopped him near a petrol station in the village. They threatened to kill him if he did not step out of the vehicle.
The doctor was then forcibly robbed of Rs 45,000, which was in his pocket, and the accused also took the keys to his car before fleeing the scene. The doctor later reported the incident to the police.
