stressed the need for strict enforcement of regulations to prevent dental
quackery, which can lead to severe infections, complications, and improper
treatments. Unauthorized practitioners not only endanger patients’ lives but
also undermine the credibility of the profession, the AIDSA stated.
“We seek your urgent
intervention against the growing menace of dental quackery in the state.
Unqualified individuals practicing dentistry without proper education pose
severe risks, including infections, improper treatments, and legal violations
under the Dentists Act, 1948. This unethical practice endangers patients,
erodes public trust, and tarnishes the profession’s integrity,” the letter reads.
The association further
stated, “As part of our nationwide Anti-Quackery Awareness Week, we urge the
State Dental Council to take strict action by conducting inspections,
initiating legal proceedings, raising public awareness, and collaborating with
law enforcement. We request immediate steps to curb this malpractice and ensure
only qualified professionals provide dental care. AIDSA is committed to
supporting this cause and looks forward to your prompt action.”Also Read:Maharashtra Medical Council to combat fake doctors with QR codesAs part of the
