Centre boosts NEET 2025 security; DMs, SPs roped in to prevent irregularities

In a bid to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of NEET UG 2025, the Ministry of Education is holding a series of meetings with district magistrates (DMs) and superintendents of police (SPs) across all states and Union territories. The move comes as part of a comprehensive strategy to avoid any lapses during the exam, scheduled for May 4, in the wake of last year’s controversies involving paper leaks and irregularities.The medical entrance exam, which over 23 lakh candidates are expected to take this year, will be held in more than 550 cities at over 5,000 centres nationwide.
